This here happened because of a poll hosted by a certain club im a part of. Maybe you bleachers have heard of it?
:iconsoul-slayers:
I dunno, its not like it's insanely popular or anything...:coughs:

Anyway the poll was "Who would you want to see turn evil?" Naturally, since Inoue is such a sweet and innocent person I thought, "well why not do some fandom butchering of her character?" Yeah...well I did, and I thought up a half-brained scenario that would make it legit (...sort of, anyways )

so, before I start, I want to say that I only watch the show. I have NOT read ahead in the manga so I have no knowledge of the story line. If I'm totally wrong and insane you dont need to tell me and for the sake of all that is good and holy DO NOT SPOIL IT FOR ME! mmmkay? Thanks.

Ps. I apologize for the horrid rambling below, but once I get an idea in my head, i wont feel better until i get it out.

Orihime & Aizen © Tite Kubo

EDIT: Took care of a few odds and ends and decided to give her a "mask" after all. Im not quite satisfied with it so I might change it again.

----
(told from the p.o.v. of Uuryu Ishida)

There was no doubt about it. Orihime had changed dramatically ever since she attempted to reject the Houngyoku and stop the war before it even started. The cheerful, happy girl we all knew and loved was gone, leaving in her place a solemn, tragic beauty...a heartless queen we could not recognize.

It's still a wonder to me, how much she had changed in between the time we left, and the time we returned. I know in my heart of hearts that even if she became a Hollow, there was nothing that could break her spirit. The Orihime that I knew was too strong for that...it had to have been something else.

Sometimes I wonder, what exactly it was that changed her so... Was it that in the process of rejecting the Houngyoku that she, herself was transformed into a Hollow? Was it that she was a laughing stock among her Hollow comrades for not possessing a sword? Or was it that, *as* a Hollow, she knew she could never see any of her friends in the living world again? Perhaps it was months upon months of psychological torture? Or perhaps, it was that even as Aizen's appointed "Queen", she still had absolutely no power over Ulluquiora and the other Espada that loved to torment her.

Maybe it was seeing Rukia and Chad's lifeless bodies, and being forbade from bringing them back to life. Or could it have been perhaps, that she could only watch as two men she once trusted, Renjii and myself, drag the man she loved kicking and screaming through the senkaimon back to the Soul Society...Was it that she knew that we had no choice but to leave? Or was it that, even as I turned back and yelled out that we would definitely be back to save her...she knew that I was lying?

No. Not a chance. I know Orihime. Trivial things such as these would do nothing to weaken her spirit...there is only one weakness that she has, and it only shows when she feels powerless to help Ichigo and the rest of us...

The reason I believe Orihime changed is that even after trying so hard and sacrificing so much, she knew that she hadn't accomplished anything or saved anyone.

Rukia and Chad still died. Karakura town was still destroyed. The war still engulfed the Soul Society. And the gates to heaven were still unlocked... nothing she did had changed anything.

In the end, I think Orihime realized that all she could hope to be, was a pawn in Aizen's hand...

The number of times I give up and the number of failures were the same.
The data that can be derived
from this unpleasant experience,
proves that the number of times that I didn't give up and the number of times I succeed were the same.
